Beginning from Lukla, we trek through the Sherpa ‘capital’ of Namche Bazaar. A day is spent here for acclimatization or to be familiar with the atmosphere of this bustling village before heading on up through Tengboche, Pheriche, Lobuche village and Gorak Shep. It is the jumping off point for the climb up to Kala Pattar (5545m) for spectacular views of Mt. Everest, and the walk to the Everest Base Camp.

 

This is a moderate trek will lead to Gokyo Lake and over the Cho La at 5,430m making a circuit of Tawache (6,367m.) and Cholatse (6,440m). Emerging into the Khumbu valley above Lobuche the trail continues up to Kalapatthar and then back to Lukla via Tengboche and Namche Bazaar. The small settlement of Gokyo (4750m) lies on the banks of the third lake. We can see the four peaks above 8000m of Cho Oyu (8,201m.), Makalu (8,463m.), Lhotse (8,516m.) and Everest (8,848m.) exposing above Gokyo. In addition to this, we will have a look at the tremendous ice ridge between Cho You and Gyachung (7922m). Besides, there is also a option to explore Cho La, a 5420m-high pass into Khumbu and Gokyo Ri.

 

Itinerary

Kathmandu (1320m)

Day 01

Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Upon arrival at the airport, you would be received by our representative and then transfer to hotel.

Kathmandu to Lukla Flight (2886m) and then trek to Phakding (2640m.)

Day 02

We take early flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2886m.). Upon arrival at Lukla, we would be refreshed in one of the hotels and then start our trek to Phakding (2640 m.). We trek following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi. Nupla (5885m) can be seen in a stone throwing distance on the opposite bank. In the late afternoon, we reach Phakding.

Phakding to Namche Bazzar (3440m.)

Day 03

Having breakfast at Phakding, we commence our trek to Namche Bazaar (3440 m.).The trail goes along the right bank of Dudh Koshi. Thamserku is standing majestically skyward on the opposite bank. We then reach Bengar. The trail now climbs from the riverbed on the left bank into the mountain, through a forest to Chumoa. We continue along the trail with many ups and downs; cross a stream, and pass by the tiny village Monjo. We then come to Sagarmatha National Park Service where a park entrance fee is to be deposited. Now we begin steep ascent to Namche Bazar. On the way, we would have excellent views of Everest (8848m) and Lhotse (8516m.).Surrounded on three sides by mountain ranges, Namche Bazar (3440m) is a central hub of the area for food, trekking gears and other necessary goods.

Acclimatization at Namche Bazzar

Day 04

We take rest at Namche Bazaar (3440 m.) for acclimatization. It is considered as an ideal place for acclimatization to the high altitude before heading towards Tyangboche. We go up to Syangboche(visit the EVEREST VIEW HOTEL) or  Khhumjung monastery. Khumjung is a settlement of Sherpa community known as green roof valley. We enjoy the splendid view of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Nuptse, Lhotse, Tawche, Kwangde and so on from here. While returning to Namche, we would visit Museum just above the town that exhibits Sherpa culture.

Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3867m.)

Day 5

Taking breakfast at Namche Bazaar, we would be heading towards Tyangboche (3867 m.). The trail goes ahead leaving a steep cliff that drops down to the Dudh Kosi. In this section too, we would have a panoramic view of the Himalayas such as Ama Dablam (6812m), Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse (7855m) and Tawoche (6501m). We would visit Trashinga, Phunki Tenga and reach Tyangboche. Tyangboche offers a good view of sun rise and sun set at Everest and Ama Dablam.

Tyangboche to Monjo.

Day 6

Heading from Thyangbuche downhill toward to namche bazaar and lunch in namche Bazar and then trek downhill to monjo 5 hours walk.

Monjo to Lukla (2800m.)

Day 07

These day easy and gently walk down hill to Fagdingma and have tea break and by lunch time you will reach in laukla total 3 and half hours walk

Lukla to Kathmandu:
